At Community Movement Alliance we envision a world where mindful movement practices are available to all those who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience the transformational benefits of movement based disciplines.


​Movement education has both physical and cognitive benefits and can help children from all walks of life. This is especially true for those that come from under-served and under-resourced socio-economic parts of our community. Studies reflect that disciplines such as yoga and meditation can help children overcome trauma, improve academic performance, promote social skills and elevate an overall sense of wellness.   


Community Movement Alliance is currently the only non-profit organization in the community that focuses on mindful movement education based programming. Through this process we can cover a wide variety of issues facing our youth and their families. This practice imparts the development of self-regulated behavior, increased self-esteem, and encourages one to create meaningful, healthy lives.
